Recently, BOE issued an announcement stating that the company intends to acquire 80.831% equity of Nanjing China Power Panda and 51% equity of Chengdu China Electric Panda. The total transaction amount is approximately 12.12 billion yuan. After CEC Panda stated that it would sell its LCD production line, a series of panel manufacturers such as TCL, BOE, Huike, Tianma, etc. expressed their intention to purchase.

Judging from BOE’s announcement, there are two LCD production lines to be acquired by CLP Panda this time, namely the 8.5-generation production line in Nanjing and the 8.6-generation production line in Chengdu. Prior to this, TCL Huaxing won the 8.5-generation production line of Samsung's Suzhou factory. It can be seen that as Japanese and Korean companies gradually withdraw from LCD panels, leading domestic companies have gradually begun industrial integration to expand production concentration. If BOE wins the CEC Panda LCD production line this time, it will further consolidate its dominant position and form a global dual-power structure with TCL Huaxing.

The CLP Panda production line acquired by BOE this time mainly produces VA panel technology, which can complement BOE’s main IPS production, which may be a relatively big plus for BOE.
