When it comes to color, LCD is not as good as CRT. Theoretically speaking, CRT can display as infinite colours as TV sets. LCD can display only about 260,000 colors. Most products claim to be able to display 16.77 million colours (16777216 colours, 32 bits). But in fact, they are all implemented by dithering algorithm. Compared with the real 32-bit color, there is still a big gap. So it is still inferior to the traditional CRT in the expressive power and transition of color. In the same way, LCD is not as good at expressing gray level as CRT. If you have the conditions, you can compare them by yourselves. Look for a 17-inch Terron CRT monitor. A 15-inch LCD with a 16.77 million-color image is displayed. CRT shows a very bright picture, while LCD appears to be a bit "false", although it can not say where is wrong, but look at the CRT is not that exquisite tube comfortable.
