DSCC said it slightly lowered its forecast for the high-end notebook display market by 2% due to the aforementioned macroeconomic issues. For 2022, it currently expects the high-end notebook display market to grow by 120% year-on-year to 18 million units, compared to its previous forecast of 18.4 million units. Among them, the share of MiniLED is 49%, and the share of OLED is 51%.
The report pointed out that in the first quarter of 2022, in the field of OLED notebook PC displays, ASUS led with a 55% share. It is followed by Lenovo with 17%, Samsung and HP with 11% each. For MiniLED notebook displays, Apple dominates the category with a share of almost 99%.
DSCC expects that from 2021 to 2026, high-end notebook display will reach a 23% market share in the overall notebook market, with a compound annual growth rate of 50%. OLED is expected to account for 75% of the high-end notebook display market by 2026, compared to 51% in 2022.
