How fast is the deep-cut response time suitable for you?

The first factor to consider when choosing LCD is response time, which is the time spent in pixel conversion. For a liquid crystal oscilloscope with 8ms response time, that is to say, when the time of pixel conversion is 8ms, the number of pictures that can be switched in one second is 1000/8=125, which is much larger than the maximum recognition rate of 60fps that human beings can perceive, so 8ms is the ultimate game liquid crystal scheme.

ISO (ISO13406-2) stipulates the response time: when a pixel of electricity changes from white to black, the electrode voltage changes from 0 to the maximum, i.e. under the maximum voltage excitation, the liquid crystal molecule rapidly changes to a new position, which is called the rising time period. When a pixel changes from black to white and the voltage applied by the pixel is cut off, the liquid crystal molecule quickly returns to its pre-charging position, a process called descent time. The whole response time process is the value obtained from the rise time plus the fall time.

However, in fact, this rule only considers the shortest switching time of black, white and black extremes of pixels, and has little guiding value in measuring the most gray scale switching in actual use. The definition of the whole response of a pixel only accounts for 80% of the time of the whole rising or falling process of the pixel. According to the definition of ISO, the so-called white refers to 10% gray level, the black refers to 90% gray level, and the remaining 20% time is ignored.

The original intention of ISO definition is not difficult to understand, because for liquid crystal molecules, the two stages of startup and final stabilization are time-consuming. The gray conversion process at the ends of 20% may exceed the time occupied by ISO response time definition itself. If this 20% is omitted, it can greatly beautify the index, but it is obviously unfair to consumers.
