There are many touch methods for industrial tablet computers. How to choose has always been a difficult problem. What are the advantages of different touch screens? What is the difference between capacitive screen and resistive screen? We can analyze it according to the commonly used mobile phone screens.
1. From a technical point of view, the technology of capacitive screens is relatively high-end.
The color time of capacitive screen technology application is later than that of resistive screen. In layman's terms, capacitive screens are more expensive than resistive screens. So this is a difference between them. Many times we see a lot of tablets with shocking prices, with a configuration difference of a few hundred and a few thousand, but there is little difference. In some cases, it is caused by the difference in the screen.
2. There is a difference between the two in terms of operation mode
In the past, I often heard that I bought a mobile phone and dropped a stylus. The connotation is that the stylus is a resistive screen. The resistive screen is a pressure-sensitive operation method, any object can be sensed as long as it causes a bend on the surface of the screen. The working principle of the capacitive screen is different. When the user touches the capacitive screen, the human body electric field of the finger and the working surface form a coupling capacitor. Because the working surface is connected to a high-frequency signal, the finger absorbs a small current, and the currents are separated. The electricity flows out from the four corners of the screen, and theoretically the current flowing through the four electricity is proportional to the distance from the finger to the four corners. The controller obtains the position through the precise calculation of the ratio of the four currents. Therefore, the capacitive screen is operated by the human body and does not need to be pressed.
3. Surface hardness
The lower hardness means that the painting has a soft feeling. Because the surface of the resistive screen needs to be bent and sensed, and the outer layer of the capacitive screen is generally a glass lining, smooth and hard. This is a difference. Then there are surface scratches. It is not necessary to stick the film during use. In fact, for high-quality capacitive screens, the film is only to prevent fingerprints from being printed on it, but the resistive screen generally needs to be protected by a film, because the screen itself is relatively fragile, and it is easy to damage and scratch too much if it is not protected.
4. Response speed
For friends who know about the product, the capacitive screen is definitely stronger than the resistive screen. Resistive screens need to be pressed and touched. Capacitive screens are like mobile phones that people don’t leave their hands all day long, and they respond with a single touch.
