LED display screens are more and more popular in TV studios. However, the effect of TV screens varies greatly during the use of LED display screens. Some are bright, clear and stable from beginning to end; some are small and difficult to see in the distant view. This requires us to pay attention to several issues in the selection and use of the LED display.

1. The shooting distance should be appropriate

As mentioned in the previous discussion of dot pitch and filling factor, LED displays with different dot pitch and different filling factor have different shooting distances. Take an LED display with a dot pitch of 4 mm and a fill factor of 60% as an example. The distance between the person being photographed and the screen is 4-10 meters, so that you can get a better background picture when shooting people. If the person is too close to the screen, when shooting close-up shots, the background will appear grainy, and it is easy to produce moiré interference.

2. The point spacing should be as small as possible

The dot pitch is the distance between the center points of adjacent pixels of the LED display. The smaller the dot pitch, the more pixels per unit area, the higher the resolution, the closer the shooting distance can be, and of course the more expensive it is. At present, the dot pitch of the LED display screens used in domestic TV studios is mostly 4-8 mm. It is necessary to carefully study the relationship between the resolution of the signal source and the dot pitch, and strive to achieve the same resolution to achieve point-to-point display, so as to achieve The best results.

3. The color temperature should be adjusted well

When the studio uses the LED display screen as the background, its color temperature should be consistent with the color temperature of the light in the studio, so that accurate color reproduction can be obtained during shooting. According to the needs of the program, the studio lighting sometimes uses 3200K low color temperature lamps, sometimes 5600K high color temperature lamps, and the LED display needs to be adjusted to the corresponding color temperature to obtain satisfactory shooting results.

4. Ensure a good use environment

The life and stability of the LED display are closely related to the working temperature. If the actual working temperature exceeds the specified use range of the product, not only its life span will be shortened, but the product itself will also be severely damaged. In addition, the threat of dust cannot be ignored. Too much dust will reduce the thermal stability of the LED display and even cause leakage, which can lead to burns in severe cases; the dust will also absorb moisture, which will corrode the electronic circuit and cause some short-circuit problems that are not easy to troubleshoot, so pay attention to keeping the studio clean .

The LED display has no seams, which can make the picture more perfect; it has lower power consumption, less heat, energy saving and environmental protection; it has good consistency, can ensure the display of the picture without difference; the size of the cabinet is small, which is convenient for the smooth composition of the background screen Modeling; color gamut coverage is higher than other display products; it has the advantage of better weak reflective characteristics, and has high operational reliability and low maintenance costs in the later period.

Of course, an LED display with so many advantages must also be used well to make its advantages appear to the fullest. Therefore, when using LED display screens in TV programs, we must choose the right LED display screens, have a deep understanding of their characteristics, and select technical products as the background for different studio conditions, program formats and requirements, so that these new technologies can maximize Use its advantages.
