LCD panels have gradually become a big deal for some giants. Recently, Japan's Mitsubishi Electric announced on its official website that its subsidiary Melco Display Technology Inc (MDTI) has decided to withdraw from LCD panel production.
Specifically, MDTI plans to end TFT-LCD module production in June 2022 and close related businesses.
According to incomplete statistics, this is another famous company that says goodbye to LCD LCDs after South Korea's Samsung and Japan's Panasonic.

Although in a strict sense, the termination of LCD panels is related to the business strategies of various companies, it is undeniable that OLED/MicroLED, etc. are increasingly becoming the mainstream frontier technology choices in the industry. At the same time, domestic manufacturers such as BOE and HKC are already at the forefront of the world in terms of production capacity, output, quality, etc.
However, the withdrawal of Mitsubishi Electric also left some problems to be solved, such as the arrangement of existing employees and how to dispose of the factory/equipment.
