According to South Korean media, Samsung Display’s LCD retirement plan is finally on the agenda, and it is said that it plans to sell part of its production line equipment to China’s BOE and Huaxing Optoelectronics. SDC replaced the LCD TV panel production line with a 6G OLED (1500 x 1850mm) production line in its L7-2 factory, and removed part of the large-size LCD panel equipment from the L8-1 factory to free up space for a monthly output of 30,000 A QD-OLED TV panel production line with glass substrates.


According to reports, L8-1's QD-OLED panel production capacity is equivalent to 1 million 55-inch and 65-inch QD-OLED TVs per year. SDC plans to sell these LCD panel production equipment to BOE or Huaxing Optoelectronics, the latter two being the largest in the world. Manufacturer of LCD panels.
 
According to sources, SDC will expand the production capacity of QD-OLED TV panels, or in the field of IT applications, establish an 8.5G OLED (2200 × 2500mm) production line.
