Due to the inherent physical characteristics of industrial displays, the picture quality will change when the operator looks at it from different angles. Compared with the front view, when looking at it diagonally, it turns to when the picture quality has changed to an unacceptable critical angle, which is called the viewing angle of the display. There are three definitions of viewing angle.
1. Contrast
If you look at the industrial display from an oblique direction, compared to the front view, the white background will become darker and the black will become brighter, so the contrast will decrease. The angle when the contrast drops to 10 is generally defined as the viewing angle of the industrial display. That is, when the definition is larger than this angle of view, black and white are not easy to distinguish. The definition of angle of view in the specifications of panel manufacturers and monitor manufacturers is the most commonly used.
2. Grayscale inversion
Theoretically, the industrial display from zero grayscale (black) to twenty-five-five grayscale (white) should be brighter with the higher the number of gray levels, but the industrial display may see low gray levels at a large angle. High gray levels are still bright, that is, you see a phenomenon similar to black and white inversion. This phenomenon is called gray-scale inversion. The maximum angle that does not produce gray-scale inversion is defined as the viewing angle, that is, beyond this angle, there will be You may see grayscale inversion, and grayscale inversion is an unacceptable image quality.
3. Chromatic aberration
Looking at industrial displays from different angles, you will find that the color will change with the angle, for example, the original white screen becomes more yellow or blue, or the color becomes lighter, etc. As the angle becomes larger, when the color change has reached an unacceptable critical point, the angle is defined as the viewing angle.
