In fact, the LED display is the same as the liquid crystal display, the main difference is that the backlight of the screen produces bright light.
Ordinary LCD screens use CCFL light sources, which are cold cathode fluorescent tubes. There is one on each side of the screen, and there is a backlight board on the back of the display. Make the entire screen light up evenly.
Due to technical limitations, the brightness of such a display is not completely uniform, but it is difficult to find it. At the same time, the lamp has a certain life span and will turn yellow over time.
The LED display uses LED light sources, which are light-emitting diodes (like the red and blue indicator lights on household appliances). Such light-emitting diodes are very energy-efficient, and because they are not light tubes, they can be formed into an array and evenly distributed behind the LCD screen.
The brightness is good, so that the backlight is more uniform. Such a display can be made thinner and more energy-efficient, and the life of the LED is longer than that of the CCFL, and the color is stable and not easy to yellow.
