The difference between soft screen and hard screen of LCD splicing screen

In fact, no matter whether it is a hard screen or a soft screen, there is only a slight difference in the manufacturing process, and there is basically no difference in the function, life, and display effect.

        1. Concept

The hard screen is to add a layer of transparent resin material with higher hardness to the LCD screen to protect the outer film. This technology was first invented by a Japanese company and finally upgraded by LG, and gradually formed LG's characteristic IPS hard screen. The craftsmanship is characterized by good stability. When the surface of the LCD splicing screen is gently swiped by hand, water ripples and dark shadows will not appear, which is beneficial to protect the screen.

The soft screen is relative to the hard screen, that is, there is no LCD panel with a protective outer film. The current representative brand is Samsung. The prominent feature of this type of screen is that when you press lightly with your finger or swipe down with your fingernail, there will be a more obvious water ripple phenomenon, but it will disappear immediately and will not affect the image quality.

Two, the difference between the two

The fundamental difference between a hard screen and a soft screen is that only a film is added or no film is added to the screen, and the intrinsic physical characteristics of the liquid crystal panel itself will not change, so the image quality still maintains its inherent characteristics. If the same signal source is used in the same situation, the image quality is significantly different compared with the LCD TV with hard screen and soft screen mode, then the most critical issue should be the LCD panel-level core configuration and IC drive performance. But it is not the difference between "hard screen" and "soft screen".

Hard screen and soft screen are easy to distinguish: lightly scratch the screen with your hand, and if there is a more obvious water mark, it is a soft screen; if the water mark is light or even absent, it is a hard screen. Since so far, among the many domestic and foreign standards on the quality of LCD screens that can be referred to, there has never been a "soft" or "hard" statement, and there is no authoritative organization that has judged the advantages and disadvantages of hard and soft screens. Comments. Therefore, it can be said that the hard screen and the soft screen are only the difference in the post-process processing of the LCD splicing screen, and there is no fundamental difference between the advantages and disadvantages. To be more precise, that is, the hard screen is just a layer of protective film on the LCD panel. The LCD TV with the film screen is not necessarily the best, and the LCD TV with the non-film screen is not necessarily inferior. .

As far as the material of the LCD splicing screen is concerned, the hard screen and the soft screen have the same LCD physical structure, and their basic performance is the same. The hard screen with an additional layer of protective film seems to have improved security, but it will still not surpass the LCD The physical defect of the screen is fragile. Therefore, whether it is a hard-screen or soft-screen LCD splicing screen, it is also afraid of collisions and needs to be protected carefully. And what we are most concerned about when purchasing LCD splicing screens should not be the production technology of the panels. More we should look at the factors that affect our use such as stability, display effect, repair rate and after-sales service.
