Simply put, the structure of embedded industrial computer can be divided into 5 kinds, as follows.

Passive backplane The slot of the passive backplane consists of multiple slots of ISA and PCI bus. The number and position of ISA or PCI slots can be selected according to needs. The board is a four-layer structure, and the middle two layers are the ground layer and the Power supply layer, this structure can reduce the mutual interference of logic signals on the board and reduce the power supply impedance.

The backplane can be plugged with various boards, including CPU cards, display cards, control cards, and I/O cards.

There are many kinds of CPU cards of IPC, which can be divided into long cards and half-length cards according to the size, and 386, 486, 586, PII, and PIII motherboards according to the processor. Users can choose any according to their needs. Its main features are: operating temperature 0-60 ℃; equipped with a "watchdog" timer; low power consumption, 5V/2.5A when larger.

The power supply of the industrial computer is an AT switching power supply, and the average trouble-free running time reaches 250,000 hours. All-steel chassis IPC's all-steel chassis is designed according to the standard, which is resistant to shock, vibration and electromagnetic interference. A passive backplane compatible with PC-bus can be installed inside.

Other accessories: Other accessories of IPC are basically compatible with PC, mainly including CPU, memory, graphics card, hard disk, floppy drive, keyboard, mouse, optical drive, monitor, etc.
