Outdoor full-color LED displays are our commonly used large screens, and LED displays are the most promising display method in the future. Since 2008, LED displays have shown many functions and effects in just a few years. Now, LED display screens have been recognized by people both indoors and outdoors. In the production of outdoor full-color LED displays, as a user, how should the acceptance criteria of the display be formulated?
Outdoor full color LED display
The acceptance of outdoor full-color LED displays generally starts from six aspects: color reproduction, color difference, splicing phenomenon, brightness angle, and white balance effect.
1. The degree of color reproduction refers to the degree of color reproduction of the display, that is, the color displayed on the outdoor full-color LED display must be consistent with the color of the broadcast source to ensure the authenticity of the picture.
2. The colorless color block refers to the obvious color difference between adjacent color blocks, and the color transition is based on this color block. Color block phenomenon is mainly caused by poor control system, low gray scale and low scanning frequency.
3. Are there any jigsaw puzzles? Dead spot phenomenon. Jigsaw puzzles refer to the small squares displayed on the screen, which are always bright or black. It is not only the module necrosis, but the main reason is that the quality of the connectors used in the outdoor full-color LED display is unqualified. The dead point refers to a point that is always bright or black on the outdoor full-color LED display. The number of dead points mainly depends on the quality of the die.
4. Outdoor full-color LED display with flatness within 1mm, its surface flatness should be 1mm to ensure that the displayed image is not distorted. Part of the bulge or depression will cause a blind spot in the viewing angle of the display. The flatness mainly depends on the production process.
5. The brightness and viewing angle of the indoor full-color LED display should reach more than 800cd/m2, and the outdoor full-color LED display should reach more than 1500cd/m2 to ensure that the outdoor full-color LED display works normally, otherwise it will be caused by low brightness. The image cannot be displayed clearly. The luminous performance mainly depends on the LED die. The viewpoint determines the audience of the screen, so the bigger the better. The viewing angle mainly depends on the packaging method of the core.
6. White balance effect The white balance effect is one of the most important indicators in the display. In color science, only the ratio of red, green and blue is 1:4.6:0.16 in order to show pure white. If the true ratio is slightly deviated, the white balance will be deviated. In general, pay attention to whether the white is blue or yellow-green. The balance of whiteness is mainly determined by the control system of the display, and the die also affects the restoration of colors.
The above six points are the basic acceptance criteria for outdoor full-color LED displays, and they are also the most direct and comprehensive acceptance direction. Any suitable outdoor full-color LED display must be designed, manufactured and aging tested before it goes on the market.
