(1) Classification according to primary color
According to the color of the LED used, the LED display screen can be divided into three kinds: single primary color, double primary color and full color.
*Full-color LED display screen
Also known as three primary colors, each pixel has three primary colors: red, green and blue. Under the condition of gray control, the natural colors can be well restored by changing the different gray levels of red, green and blue, and 16777216 colors can be combined.
*Double Primary LED Display Screen
Each pixel has two basic colors, red and green, which can be superimposed to produce yellow. Under the condition of gray control, through the change of different gray levels of red and green, a maximum of 65535 colors can be combined.
*Single Primary LED Display Screen
Each pixel has only one color, mostly red, because red has a high luminous efficiency, can get a higher brightness, can also use green, can also be mixed color, that is, part with red, part with green, part with yellow.
(2) Classification according to the place of application
Electronic banners, electronic subtitles and LED subtitles belong to the LED electronic display screen. So, how is it classified? According to the different application places, LED display can be divided into indoor and outdoor.
*Outdoor LED Display Screen
Mainly used outdoors, in the production process, first of all, the luminous grains are encapsulated into a single light emitting diode, called a single lamp. The single lamp used for making outdoor screens generally uses a reflecting cup with the function of focusing light to improve brightness. Then, the single LED lamp is encapsulated into a single pixel tube or a pixel module, and the lattice display unit box is composed of a pixel tube or a pixel module. User needs and display application sites, with a display unit box as the basic unit to compose the required size. The box body should be sealed in design so as to achieve the purpose of waterproof and fog-proof and adapt it to the outdoor environment. According to the size of the pixels, the outdoor screen is divided into: *11、Ф14、*16、*19、*21、*26、Ф36.
*Indoor LED Display Screen
Mainly for indoor use. In the manufacturing process, the luminescent grains are first made into dot matrix module (or digital tube), and then spliced into a certain size display unit board. According to the user's requirements, the display unit board is spliced into the size required by the user.
According to the size of the pixels, the indoor screen is divided into two parts：Ф2、Ф3、Ф3.75、Ф4.8、Ф5、Ф8、Ф10 and so on.
(3) According to the classification of functions and the functions of the screen, the LED display screen can be divided into four types: strip screen, picture screen, video screen and digital screen.
*Bar-screen LED display
This kind of display screen is mainly used for displaying text. It has 16X16 or 24X24 dot matrix font library. It can work independently. It can input Chinese characters by remote control. Electronic banners can also be used online with computers to send information through computers. It can work offline. Because these LED subtitles are mostly made into strips to display electronic subtitles, they are called strip screens.
*Graphic and Text Screen LED Display Screen
This kind of display screen is mainly used to display text and graphics, generally without gray control. It inputs information by communicating with the computer. Compared with the strip screen, the advantage of the graphic screen is that the font type is abundant and the graphics can be displayed. Compared with the video screen, the biggest advantage of the graphic screen is that a computer can control multiple screens and display offline.
*Video LED Display Screen
This kind of display screen pixels and control computer monitor pixels are one-to-one mapping relationship, gray control, so its performance is very rich, with multimedia card, the video screen can also play video signals. The video screen has good openness and can reflect the display of computer monitor in real time.
*Digital screen LED display
Digital screen is the cheapest LED display screen, widely used in bank exchange rate, interest rate display, Hotel seafood price list, guest price list, etc. In most cases, a bar screen is added to the digital screen to compensate for the lack of text display on the digital screen.
*Hybrid screen LED display
That is dot matrix digital mixed display, which is most used for securities market display.
