LCM (liquid crystal display module) is a component that assembles LCD devices, ICs, connectors, control drive circuits, backlight sources, PCB circuit boards, and structural parts. LCD devices, especially dot-matrix LCD devices, have many and dense leads, which is extremely inconvenient for users to use. In order to improve the integration of LCD devices, LCD manufacturers generally make dot-matrix LCD devices and drivers into LCM Modules are sold, which both increase the added value of the product. Therefore, the continuous improvement and perfection of LCM module production technology and production process has become a powerful means for manufacturers to develop the LCD display market. The connection method of the outer leads on the LCM module (i.e. the conductive electrode leads on the LCD screen) should be classified as follows according to the connection method of the LCD electrode and the drive circuit: (1) Metal pin connection;

(2) Conductive rubber connection;

(3) Direct integrated connection (COG); (4) Hot-pressed adhesive strip connection.

COG's product structure is very simple, that is, IC and leads are added to an LCD display, and then ACF (an anisotropic conductive adhesive) is used to directly bond the IC to the LCD screen through hot pressing. After bonding, the entire module needs to be connected to the PCB board through FPC (flexible printed circuit board) or metal pins. LCD screen, ACF and driver IC are the three key components of COG screen.
