1: LCD technology is to pour liquid crystal between two planes lined with fine grooves. The grooves on these two planes are perpendicular to each other. If the molecules on one plane are arranged north-south, the molecules on the other plane are arranged east-west, and the molecules between the two planes are forcibly injected into a 90-degree twisted state. The light propagates along the direction in which the molecules are arranged, so when the light passes through the liquid crystal, it is also twisted 90 degrees. But when a voltage is applied to the liquid crystal, the molecules will be re-arranged vertically so that the light can be directed out without any twisting.
2: LCD is very dependent on polarization filters and light itself. Natural light diffuses randomly in all directions. Polarization filters are actually parallel lines. These parallel lines form a net, and the line of the polarizing filter is exactly perpendicular to the first one, so it can completely block the polarized light. Only when the lines of the two filters are completely parallel, or the light itself has been twisted to match the second polarized filter, can the light be penetrated.
3: From the perspective of the working principle of the LCD screen display, whether it is a notebook computer or a desktop system, the LCD display screen is a layered structure composed of different parts. The LCD is composed of two glass plates, about 1mm thick, separated by a material containing liquid crystal in the middle. Because the liquid crystal material does not emit light, there are lamp tubes for the light source on both sides of the display screen. However, there is a reflective film and a backlight plate on the back of the liquid crystal display screen. Provide a background light source. The light emitted from the backlight enters the liquid crystal layer of the crystal after passing through the first layer of polarizing filter layer. The crystals in the liquid crystal layer are all contained in a small cell structure, and one or more cells constitute a pixel on the screen. There are transparent electrodes between the glass plate and the liquid crystal material. The electrodes are divided into columns and rows. At the intersection of the columns and rows, the optical rotation state of the liquid crystal is changed by changing the voltage. The function of the liquid crystal material is similar to that of small light valves. . In the periphery of the liquid crystal material is the control circuit and the driving part. When the electrodes in the LCD generate an electric field, the liquid crystal molecules will be twisted, thereby refracting the light passing through it, and then being filtered by the second filter layer to be displayed on the screen.
